I am a Louisiana native from the small town of Slaughter, just north of
Baton Rouge. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from
Louisiana State University, my concentration was in Graphic Design.
I
have drawn from a very early age for the simple love of it. I’ve always
spread myself over a wide array of things to illustrate; everything
from comic book characters, to pieces of furniture around the house, to
video game characters, to creatures I would dream up out of my head.
Throughout high school and college I pursued drawing regularly, and
gained experience by traversing through different types of art media
and projects. I believe my focus in Graphic Design in college,
integrated an even more technical look into my work.
My
work is usually very recognizable due to the subject matter, and the
way I engrain the detail of my work onto the paper. The work is
done almost solely in pencil, color pencil, Pilot pen, and black
marker. You’ll find I tend to be meticulous, concise, and direct with
my portrayals. I am not happy with my work, until I push the
detail to the end of the road.
In March of 2006, I started
working in the French Market of New Orleans, selling my work, and
immediately started finding success. Now I am living in New
Orleans pursuing my career as an artist.
